Paying for our funeral plans
You can pay for our pre-arranged funeral plans either in a lump sum or by regular instalments for a more affordable option.
Perfect Choice Funeral Plans are brought to you by Ecclesiastical Planning Services which is part of the Ecclesiastical Group. Ecclesiastical is a specialist, UK-based financial services group which has been protecting people, property and funds since it was founded in 1887.
Perfect Choice plans are carried out by funeral directing firms that are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). NAFD members carry out over 80% of all funerals in the UK and comply with a strict code of practice so you can be sure that your funeral will be of the highest possible standard. Perfect Choice plans are regulated by the Funeral Planning Authority which exists to protect consumers' interests across the funeral planning sector in the UK.

The money from your plan is held securely by a life assurance company in a whole of life assurance policy. Unlike some funeral plans, every penny of the full value of a Perfect Choice plan (excluding the initial management fee) is held securely and ring-fenced to pay for your funeral when the time comes. What's more, to ensure maximum financial security, we only works with UK-based life assurance companies that are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the PRA and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Funeral plans themselves are not regulated by the PRA or FCA but are regulated by the Funeral Planning Authority.
What does a Perfect Choice Funeral Plan cover?
A Perfect Choice Funeral Plan guarantees that the funeral director’s costs in the plan details leaflet will be covered, no matter how much prices rise. As long as you stay in the same area and your requirements don’t change, your family won’t be asked to pay a penny more for your funeral director’s costs regardless of how long you live or what happens to costs in the meantime.

We also offer a Personal Plan which can be completely tailored to your wishes and allows you to select your funeral director and make your wishes known in advance. With a Personal Plan you can either pay a contribution towards the cost of your funeral or make payment in full. All of our plans are very flexible and you can make changes at any time.
What the plan does not cover
The Simple, Traditional and Complete plans also include an allowance towards the fees for cremation, medical fees for cremation certificates and payment to a minister of officiant. These costs are outside the control of your funeral director. Only if these costs were to increase more than the growth of the plan would there be further costs at the time of the funeral.
The plans do not cover anything which is not listed in the plan comparison guide but additional services can be added at any time, although there may be an additional cost.
